THE "SPHERICAL UAP" VIDEOS

Ten clips in PURSUE Release 02 have "spherical" or "sphere" in the title. The word comes from whoever uploaded them to a classified network, not from AARO, whose descriptions say "an area of contrast" and warn that digital alterations to some of the footage change how the object appears to behave. Here is what each group shows, what was done to the video, and where the set sits in the record Umbra indexes.

DOW-UAP-PR055, an infrared view of clouds with a small black round object SPHERICAL · RELEASE 02 [DOW · IR · ALTERED] WATCH IN UMBRA: all ten clips, native playback

WHAT THE TITLES SAY

The ten are PR053 ("Cigar Shaped or Fast Spherical UAP clip 15 OCT 22"), PR054 ("Spherical UAP Erratic movement ... 2022," European Command), PR055 ("Spherical UAP over AFG in and out of clouds 23 Nov 2020"), PR056 ("Spherical UAP pulsing over water"), PR057a ("Spherical UAP in clouds," Yellow Sea, January 2023), PR060 to PR063 (four clips titled "Spherical UAP" and dated 2021/04/12), and PR067 ("Multiple Spherical UAP USO near Sub ... 2022/03/25 in and out of water"). USO is the uploader's shorthand for an unidentified submerged object. AARO's descriptions of all ten refer to areas of contrast, and none mentions a shape.

ALTERED BEFORE UPLOAD

AARO says PR053, PR054, PR055 and PR056 were digitally altered before they were uploaded to a classified network, and are presented as received. In PR054 it adds that "digital alterations to the video footage significantly influence the area of contrast's apparent performance characteristics." PR055 shows what that looks like: the clip opens on a black screen reading "zoomed in," replays the transit with the text "sharpened, zoomed motion tracked contrast enhanced slow to 60% speed," then shows the "original video" at its true speed. PR053 replays its transit at two slower speeds. When a clip has been zoomed, tracked and slowed, speed and motion in it tell you about the editing as much as the object.

THE APRIL 12, 2021 SET

PR060 to PR063 are four clips from a Central Command full-motion video camera and infrared sensor, each about four minutes 50 seconds long, uploaded in May and June 2024. In PR060 an area of contrast crosses the field of view from right to left, re-enters at 0:27 and is tracked until 2:04. In PR061 one enters from the upper right between 3:02 and 4:00 and the sensor changes modes as it becomes indistinct. PR062 is one continuous pan and zoom track, and in PR063 the sensor tracks an area of contrast for 49 seconds and then pans away. None of AARO's descriptions mention a shape.

OVER WATER AND NEAR A SUBMARINE

PR056 ("pulsing over water") has an area of contrast generally centered, with the sensor briefly switching contrast modes between 0:48 and 0:52, which may be what "pulsing" refers to. PR067 (uploaded May 2024) shows one area of contrast crossing the frame from the lower left, a second entering from the lower right, and the sensor panning to keep both in view. AARO's description does not mention a submarine, water entry or exit. Those are in the title only.

WHERE IT SITS IN THE RECORD

The set is part of Release 02 (May 22, 2026), the release AARO says came from a classified network without a documented chain of custody. For the same release's Central Command clips see the CENTCOM 2018 to 2022 page, and for another clip altered before upload see the Syria videos.

FAQ
What are the spherical UAP videos?

Ten clips in PURSUE Release 02 whose uploaders titled them with "spherical" or "sphere." AARO's descriptions call the subject an area of contrast and do not describe a sphere.

Were the spherical UAP videos edited?

Four of them were: AARO says PR053, PR054, PR055 and PR056 were digitally altered before upload and are presented as received. For PR054 it says the alterations significantly influence the apparent performance of the object.

What does USO mean in the titles?

Unidentified submerged object, the uploader's term in PR067's title. AARO's description of that clip does not mention a submarine or water.

Does AARO say the objects are spheres?

No. Its descriptions refer to an area of contrast in every case. "Spherical" is the uploaders' description.

Where can I watch all ten clips?

Umbra, a free iOS reader of the public PURSUE record, plays every clip natively with AARO's description and source markings.
